The Interpreter’s house 5: Audience research

Making a clear target audience is imperative thing to social media campaign. Even we are just beginning of our social media campaign. Our digital story is about stop motion, or Indian stop motion, we already staring to do some search of our target audiences.  This blog entry will give a  study about social media facts and Statistics.

A study undertaken by Jeff Bullas ( ) emphasizes the mobile the prevalence of social media in 2015.  The survey found that 

  • There are just over 3 billion active Internet users (45% of the world’s internet users
  • Nearly 2.1 billion people have social media accounts                                                            
  • 3.65 billion mobile users have access to the internet via smartphones and tablets.   

    The other survey shows that online adult 71% use Facebook, 23% use Twitter and 26% use Instagram.(( by Pew Research Center.

    Although our project are specific about indian, but I believe that stop motion is international. this topic is unlimited for any country’s audiences.

    There are lager number of people use social network everyday. Such as Twitter and Facebook. we can do hashtag in twitter and Instagram and make a forum in Facebook, People can use mobile phone to find out some thing they are interested in.

    Overall  the empirical evidence suggests that we are on the right way with using Facebook and Twitter for our social media campaign. Instagram should also as an another way to  promote our digital story because both Western and Asian people are very active users of social media.
